Finally Microsoft have decided to visibly let people know of the impending shutdown of Internet Explorer 6. Its a bold move but one that many developers welcome. However there are still many corporate companies that rely on IE6 for their bespoke software and so have been reluctant to let go.
What’s interesting is that China have the most recorded IE6 users in terms of percentage and oddly Japan also has a high percentage.
Is this a cunning plan of Microsoft to get us all to buy Windows 7 and start supporting IE9, or simply another attempt to release the vice like grip that XP currently has on many many PCs?
